Tropical Isle Vacation Platter

Great for the pool, vacation home or just day-dreaming. You'll enjoy this Tropical Isle Vacation platter.

Instructions

1. Clean greenware. Fire to shelf cone 04.

2. Remove dust and condition ware, using dampened sponge.

3. Set plate down on center of banding wheel. Pour out some CN 112 Bright Delft on a piece of foil. Water down to a wash. Apply 1 coat to center of plate using SB 812 No. 10 Round while turning banding wheel with other hand.

4. Wipe off some paint to create clouds right on blue color, using a dampened sponge.

5. Pour out some CN 281 Light Brown on foil and water down to a wash. Apply 1 coat using SB 812 No. 10 Round to create a ½” line around plate next to blue center while turning wheel with other hand. Let dry.

6. Pour out some CN 042 Bright Papaya on foil and water down to a wash. Apply 1 coat to rest of plate using SB 812 No. 10 Round while turning wheel with other hand. Let dry.

7. Pour out some CN 022 Bright Saffron on foil and water down to wash. Apply 1 coat and add a thin line right on top of the CN 042 Bright Papaya, using SB 812 No. 10 Round. Let dry.

8. Trace palm tree on plate using carbon paper and pencil.

9. Apply 1 good coat of CN 282 Bright Brown, (do not add water) to trunk of palm tree using SB 812 No. 10 Round and detail with CN 233 Dark Briarwood using SB 802 No. 1 Liner. Let dry.

10. Apply 1 good coat of CN 172 Bright Kelp, (do not add water) to palm leaves using SB 812 No. 10 Round. Let dry.

11. Outline palm leaves with FD 271 French Kiwi. Let dry completely.

12. Add birds using SB 802 No. 1 Liner and CN 253 Dark Black.

13. Apply 2 coats of IN 1001 Clear to top and bottom of plate, using SB 806 No. 6 Fan Glaze.

Let dry. Stilt and fire cone 06.
