Sweet Home Birdhouse

Make a sweet home for a fine feathered friend with the Duncan® Oh Four® Traditional Birdhouse and Duncan® Concepts® colors. The striped roof and polka dot sides make it a charming addition to your backyard garden.

  1. Remove rubber plug from bottom of birdhouse.
  2. Wipe birdhouse with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
  3. Measure approximately ½” from edge of roof and lay tape over and across roof. From tape measure another ½” space and lay second tape across roof.       Continue taping across leaving ½” spaces in between tape.
  4. Brush three coats Light Blue Spruce to roof continuing under eaves on front, back and sides of house. Let dry. Remove tape.
  5. Brush three coats Light Pink to remainder of house including base. Leave perch unpainted. Let dry.
  6. Brush three coats Light Blue Spruce to perch. Let dry.
  7. Dip end of pencil eraser or flat end of dowel into Really White.
  8. Gently stamp onto the Light Pink area making random dots around house. Let dry thoroughly.
  9. Brush two coats Pure Brilliance inside white unpainted stripes on roof. Let dry.
  10. Brush a light coat of Pure Brilliance to remainder of birdhouse. Let dry.
  11. Stilt house on kiln shelf and fire to cone 06.

  • Container for water
  • Foil or foam plate for palette
  • Paper towel
  • Masking tape ¼”
  • Flat end of pencil eraser or 3/8” dowel
