Popcorn Bowl

Popcorn never goes out of season. Spring, summer, winter or fall, it's always fun to curl up with a (handpainted!) bowl of popcorn and watch your favorite flick. This project will be a treasured part of that great American ritual.

Instructions

1. Clean greenware. Fire to shelf cone 04.

2. Remove dust and condition ware, using dampened sponge.

3. Trace design with clay carbon paper and pencil on outside of bowl.

4. Apply 3 coats of CN 221 Light Blush to movie ticket, using SB 806 No. 6 Round. Let dry between coats.

5. Apply 2 coats of CN 073 Dark Scarlet to stripes of the popcorn bag, using SB 802 No. 1 Liner. Let dry between coats.

6. Apply 3 coats of CN 253 Black to movie reel, using SB 806 No. 6 Round. Let dry between coats.

7. Detail movie reel with FD 258 White, let dry.

8. Draw popcorn with CN 253 Black, using SB 802 No. 1 Liner and detail with FD 265 French Straw. Let dry.

9. Detail popcorn bag and movie ticket with FD 254 Black. Let dry.

10. Apply 3 coats of CN 073 Dark Scarlet to inside of bowl, using SB 807 No. 6 Fan Glaze. Let dry completely.

11. Apply 1 coat of IN 1001 Clear to inside of bowl and 2 coats to outside of bowl, using SB 807 No. 6 Fan Glaze.

12. Let dry. Stilt and fire cone 06.
