Majolica Gingko Leaf Oval Plate

Show off your EZ Stroke™ brushwork in cool greens over bright White Satin Glazes for a new twist on the Majolica Technique.

1.  Use Fan Glaze brush to apply 3 flowing coats of White Satin Glaze completely over plate. Let dry after each coat. Be sure final coat is as smooth as possible on front of plate, as the detailing with EZ Stroke Translucents will show the brushstrokes.
2.  Transfer pattern to front of plate with pencil and clay carbon.
3.  Place small amount of each EZ Stroke color on separate area on foil. For each leaf, load No. 4 Liner brush in Olive Green and tip brush in Chartreuse. Pull each stroke from outer edge of leaf toward stem. Reload brush for each stroke, filling in each leaf with a variety of strokes and color variations with Chartreuse and Olive Green.
4.  Use No. 4 Liner brush to pull in stems with Olive Green.
5.  Using No. 1 Liner, add details to leaves and stems with Dark Olive, working in veins, outlines and creases in leaves.
6.  Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
