Lustrous Seashell

This plate, from the Duncan® Oh Four™ bisque collection, shimmers from sea to shining sea when you apply Crystals™ Glazes. Beach combers will love its natural beauty.

Instructions

  1. Wipe ware with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
  2. Using stirrer, mix the Polynesian Lagoon glaze, being careful not to disturb the large crystals sitting at the bottom of container. Pour some into a paper cup. Use the Fan Glaze to brush two coats of Polynesian Lagoon on the top 3/4 of shell plate. Let dry after each coat. Stir the bottom of Polynesian Lagoon to loosen crystals. Apply a third coat brushing on as many crystals as desired. Let dry.
  3. Using stirrer, mix the African Savanna glaze, being careful not to disturb the large crystals sitting at the bottom of container. Pour some into a paper cup. Use the Fan Glaze to brush two coats African Savanna on lower part of front plate brushing upward about a third of the way. Let dry after each coat. Stir the bottom of African Savanna to loosen crystals. Apply a third coat brushing on as many crystals as desired. Let dry.
  4. Apply two coats of Polynesian Lagoon on the back of the plate. Let dry after each coat. Stir bottom of paint to loosen crystals and brush on a third coat. You may brush more or less crystals as desired. Let dry.
  5. Stilt and fire to witness cone 06.
