Hollyhock Plate

Imagine hollyhocks under the stars! Create this dramatic night scene with Concepts® and Crystals™ Glazes.

Instructions

1. Place the clay carbon paper underneath the pattern and trace onto the bisque using the ballpoint pen.

2. Using the No. 6 fan glaze brush, apply three coats of CR 915 Night Frost with crystals, to the background section. Let dry between coats.

3. Using the No. 6 fan glaze brush, apply three coats of CR 902 Night Sky with crystals, to the swirl in the middle of the platter. Let dry between coats.

4. Load the No. 10 round brush with CN 021 Light Saffron and apply to the flower petals using the drop and fill technique.

5. Squeeze out FD 266 French Papaya to outline the flowers.

6. Using the No. 6 fan glaze brush, apply two coats of IN 1001 Clear on the back of the platter. Let dry between coats.

7. Allow the piece to dry thoroughly. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
